Tomorrow (Monday, 27JULY) Aubrey and I are heading to Wal-Mart to check on tents for the Cherokee part of the trip, and also we're going to talk to the van people about getting the van thru the mountains, check to see if there is enough luggage space for everyone that we need to fit plus our belongings, and also gas mileage. I think a van is the way to go should space allow it, a five-hr road trip w everyone in the same car does sound very appealing to me. Tentatively that part is gonna be about $40 each, not counting the gas. And just fyi, we've estimated the trip to be around $250 in total, that includes the cabin, food for each evening (plus snacks and small things such as laundry detergent and toilet tissue), van rental, gas for the van, and rafting. All of the extra stuff is seperate and I'll keep you all posted as prices are adjusted.
Are there any questions that I could be leaving out for the van people? If so please do share, and I'll update the blog once we have more info.

The $250 also counts for the alcohol too right?
I'd like to hope so, but honestly I won't be sure until we start getting some prices for gas + food. We'll keep people updated as to whether or not this will include alcohol. Tentatively tho plan to bring your own.
